If you set the repeat tool (end repeat measure) to "always repeat" it will go into an infinite loop when you try to play it. The result is you can never play it. In fact you have to abort the program to stop it, possibly losing recent changes. The "stop play" button has no effect, at least not in Finale 2004, or any earlier versions for Windows.

This caused by them trying to generate the playback file all the way to the end, rather than putting the loop structure in the playback file itself as they should have. Their approach wastes space.
