First of all: Turn Apple Talk inactive in the Chooser (or your computer will
crash during the following procedure). Unplugging connections is not
necessary.

Go to the control panel AppleTalk.

A prompting box pops up. You can safely click on Yes.

Choose Ethernet from the menu on top of the box now coming up.

Close the box. Click on Save in the box coming up.

Close the Chooser window and plug an ethernet cord into the computer, and
you should be up and running.
