I am on Windows XP and Finale 2004b. With a Patterson beam edit on 120 bar orchestral score - with message bar visible 40 secs, and without message bar visible 30 secs. Quite significant I would have thought. Thanks for the suggestion, I never thought it would make that sort of difference.
