Hi Darcy, I cannot really recommend any particular interface, but I give you a warning:
Don't get a driverless USB model (ie one that uses the generic drivers in OS X) or that uses the propagamma driver. Neither of those seem to work reliably in 24 Bit mode. I have not yet found a way to record reliably with my ESI U24 in 24 Bit mode (I have been using OS 9 to record). I am going to get an M-Audio transit to replace my ESI. It's cheap and does what I need.
