You could enter one measure, copy it as many times as you need, then use speedy entry to drag the pitches to where you want.
Or you could change the time signature to 4/dotted-quarter or 2/dotted-quarter but use a different time signature for display (4/4 or 2/4) and just not display the triplet marking (or place the 3 as an articulation).
I find the ctrl-3 speedy entry routine to be automatic enough for me, with the only hassle being that Finale STILL hasn't figured out how to place the bracket/number high enough above triplets that begin with a rest.
