Yes: caps lock speedy with MIDI is a good way to enter several measures of triplets. To enter a rest, there is a faster way than entering a pitch and hitting Clear: just play a cluster of three adjacent notes on the MIDI keyboard (for instance C, C#, D).

Aha! I had forgotten that!

Is there a method for having Finale only write triplets? I have toenter several measures of triplet figures and it would be great if I had a way to automate the process.
Thanks
In Speedy Entry, hit caps lock, define your triplet (alt 3 on PC, opt 3 on Mac) then the first rhythmic value you hit (4 for eighth notes) defines the triplet for as long as you have caps lock on. Just play on the MIDI keyboard, and every note will appear as the tuplet you just defined. If you need an occasional rest, it is best to hit Clear (on Mac, don't know the PC key) immediately afterward, or else enter a pitch anyway and go back later to clear it (turn it into a rest.)
