If your process is the same in 2004 and in 2004b and the results don't
work in 2004b, then you should definitely send this to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and see what they say, and hopefully have them
put it on the list of things to fix.

I have encountered a serious spacing problem in MacFin2004b. When I
have a meter change at the end of a system (with a courtesy time
signature there), when I Apply Note Spacing, I get a large blank space
at the end of the line. When I Apply Beat Spacing, the music runs off
the right side of the page. My workaround is to adjust the bar line
manually using the Measure Tool, which is a real drag.
No such problem with this in 2004.
Also, double-clicking my files on the desktop opens them in the old
version. Considering the above, that is probably a good thing.
Any comments, solutions?
