G'day
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, which I have tried.
None of them worked, though some took quite a bit of my time uninstalling
and reinstalling to see if they would work.

To David Bailey: Yes the files are in the folder. I can click on the
individual acrobat reader files, or the master one and the User Manual
operates properly, but I can't do it within the program.

One puzzlement is that the FinWin2004b updater has installed, and an icon
appears in my Start menu, but the FinWin2004a icons are in the more detailed
menu that appears when you click on All Programs.

The Control Panel Add/Remove programs feature brings up FinWin 2004a but not
FinWin2004b.

If I click on the FinWin2004a icon, it brings up version b, and the version
a icon is not in the folder, only the b program icon. Also, there are 2004a
things such as a read me file in the folder, along with read mes etc in
version b.

If I try to remove 2004a, I am worried I will lose fonts, functionality etc
or maybe version b as well.

I still have 2003 on the computer, too. Previously when I have removed an
older version after I have installed the newer version, it has mucked up the
operation of the new version.

So far, I haven't used any new features of version 2004 and wonder if I was
silly shelling out for it.

Thanks again for suggestions.
