Did you manually change the folder name? In Windows it should be C:\Program Files\Finale 2004\User Manual (without the "a" in 2004a). Try changing this folder name and see if it works.
Thanks for your response, Brad. I tried your suggestion and I get 2 error messages, saying that a couple of dlls couldn't be located, but after having restored the folder name, everything else works.
