The Harvard Dictionary has a good entry on these, with examples. If I read it correctly, it is from a rather specific (50-year) time period, a suspension of the dissonance into the following chord, and released before the chord is released. So that would make it a keyboarded ornament. Not that I've ever heard one, being a fancier of latter-day genres. :) Dennis _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
