You can just as easily update parts (using copy & paste) that have been extracted using the SPE method as those that have been formatted using the "normal" method. There is no need to undo and redo SPE in order to revise or paste copied material from another file (i.e. the score).

Nor do I usually do that, unless the measures rest have changed. But your point is well-taken.

Another advantage to having the entire score in every part in scroll view is that it is much easier to copy & paste *anything* (including misplaced hairpins) from other staves.

Hmm, that would be true.

In fact, you must have noticed that when you copy-and-paste, Smart Shapes attached to measures in the target staff are not replaced, they are DUPLICATED? This is the reason I hit Clear first, as it clears the hairpins that are already there (inaddition to the entries) so I don't get two sets of them when I paste.

So does the SPE method. I don't see any advantages at all to the Express method over the SPE method in this regard.

Bigger pastes in the SPE method. Not really a problem in these times of really fast computers, I admit.

Anyway, great method! I'll be trying that out on my next project.
