Interesting analysis, which must have taken some experimenting to
discover.  It sounds a bit strange (I would have thought a reputable
supplier would have upgraded the drivers), and not really practical for
me, as I frequently take the laptop on trips where the keyboard would be
an unacceptable extra encumbrance.
