I shall be taking my Winfin 2004 equipped HP laptop (using Windows XP) away on a composition course shortly, and want to be able to use a MIDI keyboard for Speedy entry. The laptop lacks the game port that I use on my desktop to connect a MIDI keyboard to it, but has USB2. There are products (in particular the Keystation 49 from Midiman of Arcadia, CA) that are claimed to provide MIDI information via USB (and can be powered by it). Has any of you used this hardware set-up? My concern is whether Finale will be able to find the keyboard via USB.
