That certainly will do it. However, if you went to move the original set of articulations, you can use the Artic. Tool to select them all, then use the arrow keys to move them all at once up or down. For example, if you want . accents above staccato marks, you can enter the accents first, move them up, then use Mass Edit to enter the staccato marks. Quick and easy.
