It is also the most buggy upgrade I've ever seen (beeing there since Fin 97). To make is work not so smootly by an acceptable way I have to disable almost all of the new features, as suggested by the people at MakeMusic! Isn't is confusing. I've played around a lot with FinMac2004 and I have prepared my templates to benefit from the great new features, but for the eps limitations only it has been impossible to work with 2004 because linking eps in a page laytout software is too important and the workaround too counter productive. 2002b and 2003a are great for my needs and I don't need this step backward in my work. The font warning in 2004c eps creation is not so productive too, but at least the option is there. I'll continue to encourage MakeMusic in the developpment of Finale but 2004 has been a waste of money for me. Some people don't need speed and productivity so I understand that they are happy with 2004, but I see it more as a toy that as a professionnal tool, or maybe a beta version that will stay this way. Anyway I want to think of 2004 as beeing behind us and look forward to something that will be more usable in 2005.

Finale 2004 is the best notation software ever made. I have no doubt that
2005 will be imperfect, but will be even better. That's the pattern.
