IMO this is asking for trouble no matter where the clef is placed.


BTW, if you're wondering why I used that clef on piano... it was to save from jumping back and forth from treble to bass, which would have been necessary every 8 bars or so otherwise.



Hardly unusual in piano music! There are numerous works by major composers in which you can find several clef changes w.in each of many measures in a row.


However, if you want to avoid clef changes that badly, just use cross-staff notation and put the low-lying passages in the lower staff--also a very common practice.
