First, thanks to those who have tried to reproduce the bug, and to those who offered to check out some of my own files -- I will be taking you up on that shortly.

However, I wanted to report a new wrinkle -- today, I had multiple documents open because I wanted to copy the instrumentation info from the title pages and check the lead trumpet range on several of my pieces. I did not alter any text blocks in any way, other than selecting them and pressing cmd-C.

Now, looking back at one of the scores, here's what happened to one of my documents (in less than five minutes):

The Soprano Sax staff now shows "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as the Full Staff Name, and "Copyright 2001 Darcy James Argue" as the abbreviated staff name.

The Alto Sax staff now shows "Copyright 2001 Darcy James Argue" as the full staff name, and "Bass" as the abbreviated staff name.

There is nothing in the Undo/Redo list.

I have not entered the email address that appears above in any Finale document, ever. Finale must be getting it from the OS X Address Book or something. I've never seen this before.

The fact that another instrument name has spontaneously shown up in the Alto Sax abbrev. staff name really makes me think that the file overwrite bug is just another instance of this same bug.

Anyone who wants to take a look at this corrupted file before I go fix it, let me know.

- Darcy
