First I left the settings "include preview" and "include fonts" on:
When I imported them into Word 2003, I could only see an empty Frame, nothing printed on my PS printer.
When I imported them into Quark XPress 6, the Tiff Preview of the EPS showed fine, but nothing got printed (offending command: scf)
Then I read the bit about not including the fonts - ok the preview now shows in Word, but no noteheads in the printout.
In Quark XPress, the music is printed fine, but the Text I switched to Times (Type 1) is not printed correctly, it is printed as Courier, I think, which is too wide, and some text is cut off...
Well, I guess, If I switched all fonts of all documentd I need EPSs of it MIGHT work to some point - but is this the way to do that? And why this font restriction?
BECAUSE - last but not least - in the times Finale's EPS export worked, I could also use TTF fonts in a document without troubles, they printed anyway.
So in my point of view, it's back to CODA and I hope they can fix it finally....

Hello!
EPS export works here this way (Win XP, F2K4b):
1. Delete Maestro truetype fonts (.ttf) from your system, let Adobe Type 1 fonts stay. I think Windows prefers truetype, that's why we must not let it have one. :)
2. Set some postscript printer as default. I think almost any will do. (I have tried with HP 4MP PS, Adobe PDF and some Linotronic drivers, all work).
3. Use _only_ Type 1 fonts in your Finale files, not true- or opentype.
4. When exporting EPS, uncheck "include fonts". (If you print your EPS with another computer, it has to have same fonts installed).
That's about it. There certainly has always been more or less problems with EPS export, and I too think that Coda/whatever should fix this fast. On the other hand, I have tried Sibelius few times, and would *never* change to it.
