[Finale] 2004 Crashes

In response to Darcy's description of his problems with crashes and others who have not experienced this: it has happened to me on occasion, though not since I installed 2004c and got rid of the copy of 2004 that I used to keep for printing. (There was a printing problem for me in 2004b that required this workaround.)

Perhaps there was a conflict arising from keeping two copies of the "same" application. I don't know. I am not experienced enough in the workings of the operating system to be able to track down this kind of problem, but I was having it, and yes, auto-save exacerbated it.

I also have had a weird situation where either the Finale icon or some other icon will "cover" the selected tool in the tool pallet. This seems to show up when the system is "tired." A restart usually solves it. I'm not entirely convinced that this is a Finale problem rather than a system one, but I'm only going on intuition without any concrete information, and it's only an annoyance, not a work stopper.
