Maybe your custom fon is not the default notehead font in your document, for example if you have set one note to display another font for the notehead. If the custom font does not interfere with the other notes in that measure, I would apply a staff style with Independant notehead font set to your custom font ant then the stem connection should work.

I'm trying to set stem connections on custom noteheads I've made in a font editor. They're saved in a font file for the purpose of this single project. I go to Document options - Stems - Stem connections and create a new set for the font/character combination in question, but when I then use that notehead in the score, the default connections are used. Am I doing somethign wrong?
