RAMbunctious doesn't work in Panther.

They say they are "working on it," but there hasn't been an update to RAMbunctious since 2002.

There is no alternative RAM disk software.

So, no RAM disk in 10.3 and up. Maybe Coda can be persuaded to just store the damn temp files in memory, already, like every other modern application?

You can try this Ram disk in Panther, but so far I have not seen an improvement for Finale, and possibly a slight slow-down:

This simple Ram Disk is called "Disk Velox". Others may have better results.

For what it is worth, even though Finale Mac 2004 for system 9 is unusable, it is even slower with a Ram Disk. (I reported on this a few months ago.) All versions up to Finale 2003 do benefit greatly from a Ram Disk, however.
