The iMac G5 was announced yesterday:

I mention this because of speculation about G5 heat issues and what that means for the prospect of G5 PowerBooks (as discussed recently on this list).
As you can see from the pictures, the new iMac design is flat. The innards are flush with the screen -- sort of like a tablet PC on a stand. The enclosure is 2 inches thick and appears to have minimal venting.
This would suggest that Apple and IBM have made great strides in sorting out the G5's cooling issues, and that PowerBook G5's are likely to follow within about 6 months or so.
