Dennis,
Look in the Engraver Text Character Set. Letter R gives you a left bracket; Shift-R gives a right bracket. These may serve your purpose. Also, I think I use the brackets in the Times New Roman font. I added brackets to my articulation library quite a while ago. Hope this helps. Hope my memory is working.
