Just copy one note with your articulation in your new document.

Subject: [Finale] Copying articulation shapes

I remember seeing over the years people ask about copying articulation and
expression shapes from one document or library to another. Having never
needed to do that I didn't pay attention as my memory of it seemed that it
was complicated and time consuming. Now, I find that my handbell
articulation library I created is missing one symbol which I found in
another document's articulation shapes. I'm working on another document
and need to copy that one symbol to the newer document.

Short of deleting all the other articulation shapes in the document with
the symbol I want and then loading the created library into it, saving the
articulation shapes as a new library and then loading it into the the
other document (deleting duplicate shapes as needed), is there a simple
'copy and paste' function available for (articulation) shapes? If not,
what are the alternatives? I can't seem to find a plugin (that ships with
Finale) that does this.

(I realize with just one symbol, it's probably just as quick to either
recreate it or do the above step, but I'd be interested in the answer for
future reference in case I need to copy many shapes some day. The quickest
and easiest answer gets added to my list of finale tips I keep on my web
site).

Thanks
