Are there any Garratin Personal Orchestra users out there who have also used Reason? Or who have compared GPO with Reason? If so, can you say, briefly, if and why one is better than the other?

Reason does have a very good sampler called the NN-XT. It can play Garriton samples with some conversion, but it does not have all the expressive features that GPO has. The GPO playback is based on the Kontakt sampler engine made by the company called Native Instruments.

I don't have much personal experience with GPO, but I do use Reason and Kontakt. Reason is robust and reliable for the most part and fairly simple to operate. Kontakt is a little more finicky and prone to crashes. Native Instruments has more for the musician who wants to do electronic music exploration and Reason is a kind of all-round synth/sampler Midi studio. Reason also works well for dance music, apparently.

From what I've read, the problems associated with Kontakt are not as noticeable in the GPO version. Also, a more equivalent comparison would be with GIGA (for Windows only) and not Reason.
