then enter 4 quarter notes and TGTool it. in any case, even if adjustments, notehead changes or whatever are needed, and can't be exactly defined within TGTools (you should check out the many options with the tremolo tool), the slight remaining work post-TGTools is really insignificant compared to doing it all manually.


I'm not convinced that TGtools will work for this.  Putting in two
beamed half notes with TG Tools, (originally entered as quarter notes
and then hit with TG tools to make two beamed half notes with any
specified number of beams) only fills half the measure leaving 2
beats free as a rest.  One could hide the rest but then spacing is
awkward.

two half notes as a beamed tremolo do not fill the whole measure, either two whole notes connected with beams, or two pairs of half notes connected with beams fill the measure.
