It always depends what you mean by "worth it". For me, if there's even a small improvement or two that saves me a few hours of work over the course of the year, that justifies the upgrade price.

I didn't get 2005 when it first came out, because the one new feature that really interested me -- the new tuplets -- wasn't working correctly. Assuming that that's fixed in 2005, as the release notes state, I'll get the upgrade now, because that feature should save me enough time to pay for itself.

My impression, based on nothing scientific, is that fewer people on this list have upgraded to 2005 than to previous releases. It seems to me that when 2004 came out, there was much more traffic praising it or condemning it or asking questions, and this year there hasn't been as much.

Read Jari's review, at http://home5.swipnet.se/~w-52653/Finale/Fin2005Review/index.html , if you haven't already. It gives a much better sense of what's in 2005 than do Coda's marketing materials.
