That's not a problem; he's already described that "Measure Zero" is a film-score click measure. The music itself doesn't start until Measure One, and the zero bar is a pre-measure that exists solely for the conductor, the director, and the audio editors.
It makes plenty of sense to me, but I do agree that any solution will be kludgy at best.
