No. I don't think you are following my arguement. However, it really is only a philosophical discussion. The point being that in January 0001 you are actually only one month into the year 1, while in december -0001 you are only one month back into the year -1. In this concept, the year 0 makes no sense.

I am not saying that your concept is wrong.

You give medieval astronomers too much credit. There's no year zero because nobody made one (the AD system was created retrospectively, don't forget.) If a year zero did exist, you'd be arguing that it would be ludicrous to leap from -1 to +1.
