Apple has been emphasizing on dual proc architecture for years, and it is
more so now.  To me, it is no question.  If you have a choice, dual proc
is the way to go.

But just for a clarification, MOTU did redesign Digital Performer on
version 4.5 so single proc is no longer unreasonably outperformed by dual
proc.  This was done by putting thread priority as a user choice.  On the
other hand, there are still and will be so many DSP applications demands
dual proc.
