What a pleasure it is to read about the background of so many people on the list. It gives it a more human touch (not that it is not human, but discussions on the web tend to look impersonal to my taste).

ric Dussault
b. Nov. 24 1967 in Toronto, Canada, from french speaking parents who were there to perfect their skills in english. I grew up in Quebec city and started music with electric guitar, playing lead guitar in heavy metal bands in my late teen years (until I reached 19). I soon got interest in classical guitar and left electric guitar completely to focus on my studies. I got my diploma from Laval University and my Master from the Quebec conservatory of music, both in guitar performance. After my studies, I have followed my wife who went to Germany for two years to study with a well-known string player in Hannover. As I had plenty of time there, I started to learn Finale 97 for PC to arrange and publish some arrangements I made there. When I got back here in Canada, I started do get more serious about music typesetting and have never stopped doing it. I have switched to the Macintosh platform since Finale 2001. I did have a full-time job a was engraving as much as I could in my free time. Fortunaly for me, I am now working full time as music engraver since last fall. For years I was hoping to get everything in place to make it possible and now it happens. Although I do not participate very often to the discussions on the Finale list, I do follow with great interest most of the threads.
