Not twice the price -- that's for the "Pro" edition, not yet released.

The "regular" Second Edition retails for $279 -- $30 more than the original.

It's customary to give people who ordered v.X of a piece of software a free (or heavily-discounted) upgrade to v.X+1 if you bought it within 14 days (or whatever) of the upgrade's release. IIRC, that's Coda's policy, and so I hope that's Garritan's policy as well.

But this upgrade is so new, there's nothing about it on Garritan's web site yet.

I just sent an email to Gary Garritan -- we'll see what he says.

ARRGGHHHH!!! I just ordered the damn thing a few days ago!

I sure hope there's a free upgrade to v2.

At twice the price of version 1, I wouldn't think so. But there ARE free updates to v. 1 on the website.

If it makes you feel any better, I just got my copy today. Haven't installed it yet, as I have work to do.
