Currently I am trying to keep a thread alive at Northern Sounds just to keep pressure on something that should be fixed. Most replies are offering work arounds and they involve quality of sound reduction -- this is unacceptable and besides I have figured my solutions. I have CPU quality set to 100% and full sample rate.
I still don't understand how that works. I thought the Ambience reverb was supposed to be a huge resource hog, and bypassing it (or reducing CPU quality) is recommended in the manual as a way to conserve processing power for other tasks (like playback).
3 GB ram seems (if not more than enough) at least enough. For this project I am not using KS strings (a big ram saver) so I have a lot of strings types loaded and tightness only appears on occasion.
Are you using Direct-From-Disk, or loading everything into RAM?
