What would be the best way to do two time signatures in the same staff? Say you had a triple meter that could be triple-duple or triple-triple (3/4 or 9/8), what would be the best way to put the two side by side at the beginning of the piece? The source has the second sig in parentheses.
I thought of creating an expression for the second one (REALLY large
parentheses, and not in Maestro).
Good approach, specially if you're using Fin2005. Create the time sig in the shape designer, put it in the score as a measure expression (reference it horizontally from the beginning of the music, for example) and in the measure attributes for that measure, add the extra space needed at the start of measure.
If you do this properly, you never have to worry about spacing or other side-effects.
