Even in Mass. a state with one of the highest per pupil expenditures, there are schools with 1 microscope for each 10 students in a science lab course, schools containing 3 or 4 grades where only the top grade (or maybe 2) has lockers, classes where there is one book for every 5 students, etc etc etc.
