Hi Bonnie,

Unless you kept your Finale preferences in the Finale application folder (which is actually the best place to keep them), your old prefs should be in (something like) Previous System/Users/Bonnie/Library/Preferences. You can also just search for "Finale 2005 Preferences." When you find your original preferences, you can just drag them to your Finale folder.

(Come to think of it, you're not using Fin2003 or earlier, are you, in Classic? That's a whole other set of potential issues right there.)

However, I doubt replacing the preferences will actually solve your problem. I would recommend just reinstalling Finale -- it will be less trouble than tracking down the font problem.

Archived directory being the previous system file? I see a lot of stuff like my midi driver and firmware
in there that did not make it into the new system file; do I just drag or copy them into the same places in the new system file? Finale fonts appear to be in place in the Finale 2004 folder, but they are not working correctly. Thanks if you can help.

Help! I just completed archive and install of Mac OS 10.3.2 and my new
blank document in Finale has completely unrecognizable fonts,

trashed?

The old non-native pref are archived. You can find them in the archived
directory.
