while "Makemusic" has technically existed continuously since 1988, it is in fact a completely different company, having gone through at least two complete ownership changes since then. The current company apparently knows almost nothing about the 2.6.3 format. Their Mac support people claim not to be able even to run Fin2.6.3 at all. (Heck, *I* can still do that.) If Finale 2.6.3 had required authentication, I feel virtually certain that the current company either would not or could not provide it now.
Might this be in part a MAC issue, due in part to the complete change in the MAC OS?
