hi hiro, thanks.

I was wondering why you would need to do this since Finale gives you
Opt+Cmd+(n) for Layer selection...?

ah yes, sorry that was unclear, i meant to move the content of layer 1->2 and 2->1 , not just switch between them.

If you really want to hack into layer list, you just measure the list
position from left bottom corner of the main window. I do this for
scroll right/left.

how do i measure it? there is a function which records the placement of the mouse (click on the arrow icon), when i do this (it automatically takes me to the application i choose to simulate the mouse click in), it set coordinates, but when running the sequence, these mouse clicks aren't done (i even set pauses to see if that would change anything... it didn't).

i have managed to get several sequences running, but none that involve mouse clicks in the active window.

for example:

1) mass edit menu: change noteheads...
2) select (click mouse) "change to selected notehead" <---- doesn't work!
   - Move to 103, 151 (Top/Left) [in active window]
   - Click
3) Press "tab"
4) Type "H"
5) Press "return"

if i split the sequence into two sequences (containing step 1, and steps 3-5), everything works, i simply can't get the mouse simulation to work.
