Put in your score a text block on page 1 with a text insert of 'File name' selected. Set it up with your larger or unique font settings for your page 1 instrument names.
Go to Extract parts and use the 'options' for your instr. fonts, sizes and positions for pages 2 onwards.
In the 'Generate names from' prompt just leave it as %s, nothing else.
This should give you your parts with the 2 different settings for page 1 and other settings for 2 onwards. The only drawback is that the new extracted file names will only be the instrument names, but this doesn't take long to change and I'm sure there's some script that can batch rename files for you anyway, if you want to get really automated, yes?

Yes, now we've come full circle. This is exactly what I suggested in my first reply to the original poster. <g>
Jonathan Smith seemed to be suggesting that Finale could automate the recurring page headers -- and it can, but only if you then do the p.1 header by hand.
