Thanks, that was it, as Thomas told me too.
It wasn't working for me at first because Finale was in a delicate condition, and crashed soon after I wrote the inquiry. A reboot solved everything, and all is well with the world.

I need to de-assign a syllable on one note, WITHOUT removing the syllable from the rest of the voices which have this same syllable assigned to it and need to keep it assigned.
I tried in Adjust Syllables hitting Clear (on the numeric keypad) and Delete (over the Enter key), but both of those removes the syllable from ALL voices.
What is the keystroke to deassign a single syllable? Mass Edit>Clear Items>Entry Items... Lyrics will do it, but on complete measures, plus it takes an awful lot of mousing. There must be a single key to do this.
Please don't tell me to clear all the lyrics and re-enter them properly. That would be overkill for these minor edits.
