I used to use Winzip (I think that's what it's called) although being an AOL customer I now have the opposite problem that AOL zips attachments automatically when more than one file is involved. I remember it being simple to use. I should imagine there are lots of free programmes, none of them hard to learn, even for an Englishman, although there may be some language problems in the instructions.
