For ease of use and integration with Finale, it's really hard to beat
GPO. It might not be ideal, but it is a *huge* improvement over
Finale's default sound font, and you will have much more realism when
it comes to things like mutes, bow direction, slurs, trills, tremolos,
etc. All of these techniques are very easy to implement and don't
require loading separate patches or switching channels for e.g., mutes
or pizz.
It was definitely worth the $220 I paid for it, and the group buy price
($139) is a steal. For what you want, I don't see the point in messing
around with other solutions -- GPO is simple, powerful, easy to learn
and integrates better with Finale than any other solution. You will
not do better for the price.
