Actually, that isn't the same as Clear Items...Everything. Your method is the same as Clear Entries and Smart Shapes, and leaves measure attributes, measure-attached expressions, repeats, and time signatures intact.

I don't know of a Mac equivalent for Clear Items... Everything, but on the other hand, how often does one have to do that? I can live with the menu method for that rare occasion.
