If the installer is telling you you have a newer version installed, then in all likelihood you do in fact have a newer version installed! (Probably 7.0.1)

Also, QuickTime and QuickTime Pro are exactly the same code. If you purchased QuickTime Pro, all you need to do is enter your registration code (in Preferences) to unlock the Pro features. You don't need to uninstall or reinstall anything.
