Another one I have been asking for last 17 years. I am a Shift+Opt(alt)+Click guy since Cmd(Ctrl)+C/V was no available in early Finale ages. I have always wanted to have one more key combi to Shift+Opt(alt)+Click so you get the "what items to paste (not copy at this point obviously)" dialog, so you can avoid going to menu prior to copying.
