Do people with more modern Windows PCs find the same comparative

David -

I have two PCs, one a modern fast (3.2Ghz) laptop, and a slower (866Mhz) desktop. I still have v.3 alongside v.4 on the fast machine, and I don't see a perceivable difference in speed. I only have the Sib 4 demo on my desktop at the moment, and on it, the cursor is indeed slower to appear, (I used Ctrl T as your example) maybe as much as a second as you say, but once flashing there's no delay in entering text. I'm not sure clock speed is the only factor, although I don't think these programs are that taxing on a video card. Possibly available RAM is a factor, as Sib 4 uses considerably more. I assume you're comparing the speeds of demo versions in both cases?
