I corresponded at length with the same very nice Sibelius employee 
who annotated the list of Sibelius 1.4 "deficiencies," and he never 
mentioned that, even though he knew what the hardware of my system 
was.

My system is reporting only 8MBs of RAM, but that can't be right -- 
my 1996 PC had that much RAM!

I recently experimented with trying to update the drivers and had a 
lot of problems. Perhaps I never properly rolled back the drivers I 
tried to install, and possibly that's the cause of the problem.

Nonetheless, the competitor program, Finale, exhibits no such 
problems.
