Well, somewhere along the line, I had an nVidia chipset. Perhaps it was my old PC. Well, this machine was shipped from Dell 4/14/1999, and was bought on the high end of the product line (it was one of the first Pentium 4 machines available). I know 8MBs wasn't an unusual amount of RAM, because my previous PC, purchased in 1996 had that much (though I had spent an extra $60 to upgrade it). -- David W.
