This can only have been a temporary cock-up on their end. I just checked, and there is no newer version than the one from June 16, which is the one I have, and which is definitely not the one for Finale 2k6.
Could you perhaps check the version info (click on the Kontakt symbol inside a GPO player)? Under sotware mine reads 1.1.8.003, what does yours say?
