I haven't used a vacation program in a while, but back in the day it was understood that such creatures should automatically ignore any email with Precedence: list or Precedence: bulk -- that is, a vacation program should be smart enough to ignore anything coming from a mailing list. So unsubbing or stopping delivery shouldn't be necessary, in theory.
I've emailed Henry Howey privately asking him to unsub this guy so that we don't see these autoreplies every day for two weeks.
